Sharp-tailed Grouse Lek Survey & Guided Birding Walk

Want to learn more about Sharp-tailed Grouse? Want to get involved with bird banding and surveys? Are you hoping to learn more about wetland bird species? Join us for a grouse lek survey and birding walk at Oak Hammock Marsh! 

Observe Sharp-tailed grouse and their courtship rituals by surveying an active lek site, which will be led by Dr. David Walker, a professor at the University of Manitoba in the Environment and Geography department. Additionally, join us for a birding walk around Oak Hammock Marsh with Paula Grieef.

BYOB (Bring your own binoculars), and please dress for weather as the walk goes (mild) rain or shine.
