Want to learn more about Sharp-tailed Grouse? Want to get involved with bird surveys? Are you hoping to learn more about wetland bird species? Join us for a grouse lek survey and birding walk at Oak Hammock Marsh!
Observe Sharp-tailed grouse and their courtship rituals by surveying an active lek site, which will be led by Dr. David Walker, a professor at the University of Manitoba in the Environment and Geography department. After the lek survey, join us for a birding walk around Oak Hammock Marsh with retired biologist and bird expert, Paula Grieef.
Bring your own binoculars and dress for the weather. The area around the lek will be wet so bring along a pair of rubber boots.
